For all of you boating enthusiasts out there (or people that just love to look at boats) you know that January in Toronto means the Toronto Boat Show. Now is the time to get excited about the summer! If you are looking into buying a boat, it is the perfect time because you have a chance to see just about every kind under the same roof. My family enjoys boating, skiing, and sunset cruising so, I met up with my brother, and we walked the show. After a few hours, we ended up in Buckeye Marine’s booth to look at the new ProStar.

The MasterCraft ProStar was designed by Rob Shirley and created a new era in water skiing back in 1968. The boat was simple, but beautiful, with a more square shaped design then the current look. At the time, the boat was designed to change history and would make anyone a better skier and more passionate about boating.

The 2014 ProStar maintains this same high standard. It has easy to use controls with a bright touchscreen in a low dashboard for unbelievable sightlines. Inside, there are 4 durable aluminum racks for skis and the back seats are removable making it easy to get in and out. An interesting new feature is the bow hardcover that is easy to snap on and off. This boat is a top of the line option for skiiers, combining elite engineering and luxury into one.

Each weekend my wife, baby and I climb into my Chevy Colorado... aka the white sheep… aka the cottage vehicle and drive up to the cottage in hopes to make it up before the sunset or in time for a quick ski or for dinner. We are really hoping to fit in all three! But, if we don't get it all in Friday night, we still have the rest of the weekend to do that plus… play games, BBQ's, see friends and family, campfires, swimming, skating, tobogganing, beers, pranks, boating, cliff jumping, rope swings, water falls, river rides, fire works, relax and so much more! I love the cottage and everything that goes with it.
