Here is a Kawartha family cottage with a great history of parties, music, family and friends. The Roberts bought their family cottage almost 30 years ago when they lived in Markham Ontario. They used to come up to friends’ cottages to visit in the summer and loved it so much they bought a place of their own down the lane way. Since then, they have moved around the world for work but always saved holiday time to stay at the cottage in the summer.

I would say they are known best around the lake for there bon fires, music, food and great hospitality always making you feel welcome.

Their cottage is full of great memorabilia, and a cozy mix of painted walls and pine trim throughout. The main cottage is for sleeping, cooking, eating and music. If you want to watch a movie you go to the kids bunkie next door.

There was originally a surveyor’s cabin dating back to the 1800s on the property while the current quaint little cottage nestled in the trees was built in 1950. It has had a couple renovations to make it a little piece of heaven for the Roberts.

Each weekend my wife, baby and I climb into my Chevy Colorado... aka the white sheep… aka the cottage vehicle and drive up to the cottage in hopes to make it up before the sunset or in time for a quick ski or for dinner. We are really hoping to fit in all three! But, if we don't get it all in Friday night, we still have the rest of the weekend to do that plus… play games, BBQ's, see friends and family, campfires, swimming, skating, tobogganing, beers, pranks, boating, cliff jumping, rope swings, water falls, river rides, fire works, relax and so much more! I love the cottage and everything that goes with it.
