Derek and Lisa had been looking for their family cottage for years until they finally found this old cabin perched on a hill overlooking a bay on Kawagama Lake. They instantly fell in love with this lot and lake. They have been slowly transforming their cabin into a little bit larger place to accommodate their family. The outside is done in a board and batten where the inside has a mix of barn board and pine walls for a great rustic cabin look and feel.

They spend most of their time down on the dock where their boat and water toys are and have a great view of the cliff jumping rocks across the bay where they can watch people jump all day.

Kawagama is a huge lake with lots of bays, cliffs to jump off of, rope swings and great swimming holes. I would recommend launching your boat in this lake as you could spend the whole day looking at all of the beautiful cottages. Please do take a map there are a lot of inlets and bays.

We will visit back to Derek and Lisa’s cottage soon to update you on their progress.

Each weekend my wife, baby and I climb into my Chevy Colorado... aka the white sheep… aka the cottage vehicle and drive up to the cottage in hopes to make it up before the sunset or in time for a quick ski or for dinner. We are really hoping to fit in all three! But, if we don't get it all in Friday night, we still have the rest of the weekend to do that plus… play games, BBQ's, see friends and family, campfires, swimming, skating, tobogganing, beers, pranks, boating, cliff jumping, rope swings, water falls, river rides, fire works, relax and so much more! I love the cottage and everything that goes with it.
